The Leroy Merlin trip was postponed again, so still no entertainment center. In Battle of the Birds news, the birds have not accepted my piece offering of Kisa's fur and are still attacking my basil and coriander. I usually have the door open so the cat can scare them away, but I think I'm going to have to start bringing them inside overnight.
My dad had the idea of placing pinwheels in the pots to scare them away but I can't find the French word for pinwheel! My dictionary says it's "moulinet" but when I search that on amazon I get fishing reels. I'll have to place some wind chimes out there and see if that is good enough.
I also thought of spraying a hot chili concoction like you do to keep squirrels and chipmunks away from plants, but then I realized that will be a problem when I eat the herbs! At least I realized it now and not later via a bite into heavily herbed potatoes! Though that may actually turn out good...
It's no wonder that the word for "fly" and the word for "steal" is the same word in French; birds are thieves!
