So Saturday and Sunday were pretty uneventful. We saw one more apartment that we weren't interested in and then Olivier took us to an appliance store to get an idea of styles and prices. We sent Charlotte, the Realtor for the apartment we liked, all the information she needed to get the lease agreement started. Our train to Paris left at 6pm Saturday and we arrived at our airport hotel by about 10pm.
The next morning we had our first big breakfast since we got here. I can't remember if I talked about the breakfasts here yet. French people have a very small breakfast, if any at all, so our hotel in Besançon reflected that. The selections were bread, jam, pastries, and cereal. Considering I can't eat cereal (I can't drink milk) and I don't particularly like jam, my breakfasts thus far have consisted of croissants and chocolate pastries. Paris must be used to catering to tourists because their breakfast bar was awesome. Anything you could hope for was there except for eggs. It's funny because someone had told me she went to France a few years ago and they couldn't find eggs served anywhere and I doubted her, but I guess she was right!
Our flight was uneventful except for a screaming baby and the fact that we were right next to the restrooms so I caught a stewardess leaving the bathroom without washing her hands. Thanks to the time difference, our flight left at 11 am, we had an 8 hour flight, and we got home at 1 pm.
